Phlox will fit in any style of garden. It is a perennial, it has a beautiful fragrance, blooms throughout the summer until early fall, has nectar for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds and makes a great cut flower. The ones I’ve chosen also have a high resistance to mildew. No matter what style of garden you have, Phlox paniculata is a great addition.
Elke Wehinger
Elke's Fabulous Phlox Garden Collection includes:
3 Phlox paniculata 'Bright Eyes'
A soft pink variety with a darker pink centre and deep green leaves. This phlox will brighten up a pastel themed garden or lift a pink garden to the next level. You can’t go wrong with this variety.
3 Phlox paniculata 'Laura'
This is another stunner that will give you a richness of colour and interest in your garden. Laura’s deep fuschia-purple flowers combine very well with lavender-blue, white or pink flowers. Hummingbirds love it too. I can already picture a nice bouquet of it on my breakfast table.
3 Phlox paniculata 'Nicky'
Like all phlox paniculata varieties, Nicky loves good drainage and air circulation and will reward you with a beautiful display of dark purple flowers. It also mixes well with the other pink and purple phlox varieties we carry.
1 Phlox paniculata 'White Eye Flame'
This is like the opposite colour pattern of Phlox ‘Bright Eyes’. Combining these two varieties would make a fun display. Its long season of blooms will give you many cut flower bouquets for indoor as well as stunning displays in your garden.
2 Phlox paniculata 'David'
If I have to pick a favourite phlox, it would be David. Not only is it a brilliant white flower (my favourite flower colour), but the classic look of white and green, the long-lasting flowers and the fact that phlox is a great cut flower makes it a perfect addition to my garden.
