The pendulant florets flower along the strong stems with greenish-grey leaves forming at the base of the flowers. This unique and highly sought after Fritillaria is best planted in groups of 3-5.
'Ivory Bells' does well as a centrepiece in the spring garden but is also an excellet choice for back of the border. It is deer, rabbit and squirrel resistance but attractive to butterflies. Well-drained soils are particularly important as Fritillaria are susceptible to rot in poorly draining soil. Add sand or grit to the planting hole to promote better drainage.
