Early Fantasy blooms earlier in the spring season than the standard Crown Imperial Fritillarias. It offers soft peach-coloured blooms atop sturdy stems.
These plants also sport a leafy crown of bright green foliage and will definitely turn a few heads in the garden. One of the first plants to be cultivated, illustrations of it date back as far as 1610! A word of caution, however, these amazing plants do give off a strong musky odour so we suggest planting them in a perennial border or near shrubs where the scent will not be objectionable. Be sure to provide good drainage as Fritillarias are somewhat sensitive to water retentive soil.
