A lovely, clump-forming, compact Aster that will attract the bees in early autumn.
'Wood's Pink' is easily grown in well-drained soil in full sun but for best results use organically rich soil. Good air circulation and consistent moist soils with good drainage will reduce the chances of it developing powdery mildew. Thinning the stems in summer helps to promotes better air circulation. To assist in keeping its compact form consider pinching back the stems several times before midsummer. Does not require staking. 'Wood's Pink' is ideal for containers but can also be used as an edging plant and in butterfly gardens.
