Erectum produces a lovely wine-red flower atop a long stem. Plant Trilliums in humus rich, shady spots and enjoy them for years to come!
Trillium erectum is a hardy, erect perennial with stalkless, wide, mid-green leaves. It produces erect flowers that are deep, reddish-purple with purple-tinted green sepals and purple ovaries. The trillium is a simple, graceful perennial that is one of the most familiar and beloved of the spring woodland wildflowers. Leaves, petals and sepals all come in groups of three, hence the name!
Trillium mixes well when massed with other spring wildflowers and ferns in a shaded woodland garden or naturalized area. All of our Trilliums are propagated and not gathered from the wild.
