Music has a large, easily peeled cloves with a strong flavour and lasting aftertaste.
Hardneck garlics have fewer, larger cloves then the softnecks. They also have less of an outer bulb wrapper, sometimes none at all. Music's flavour is good, sweet and pungent, very hot when eaten raw. It is an Italian variety brought back to Canada by Al Music in the 1980s from his homeland. Averages about 5 cloves per bulb.

An interesting tip for all gardeners is that, like other members of the onion family, garlic is reputed to keep insects and fungal diseases at bay.
