'Fire Star' Dianthus is a close cousin of the carnation flower and they pack a powerful fragrance punch that is a fusion of cloves and other exotic spices. Drought tolerant once established. Clip them lightly after blooming for more blooms and a tidier plant. Makes a terrific rock garden plant, perfect for border fronts, cottage gardens or containers. It also makes an effective small area ground cover and edger. Perennially perfect!
